Man electrocuted in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, April 25, 2026 (BSS) - A tea stall owner died after being electrocuted in Matharpara village under Ghuridaha union of Saghata upazila in the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Jyotish Chandra Barman, 32, son of Surendra Barman of the same village.

Family members said Jyotish came into contact with electricity while preparing tea using a blender machine at his home around 10:00am, leading to his death.

Local Union Parishad Chairman Selim Ahmed Tulip confirmed the incident.
