
KHULNA, May 26, 2026 (BSS) - Preparations have been completed at the Khulna Circuit House ground for the main congregation of holy Eid-ul-Azha.
For the first time, women will be able to offer Eid prayers at the Circuit House ground under separate arrangement.
Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju today inspected the venue and reviewed the overall preparations.
Speaking to journalists after the inspection, the KCC administrator said all relevant agencies are working with responsibility to ensure successful arrangement of the Eid-ul-Azha congregation at the Circuit House ground.
He expressed hope that city residents would be able to participate in the Eid prayers and celebrate the festival in comfort and under adequate security.
Manju also said 140 designated spots had been fixed across the city for slaughtering sacrificial animal. He urged residents to use the designated places for slaughtering animals and avoid dumping of waste and blood into drains.
KCC sanitation workers will clean the roads using bleaching powder and Savlon, he added.
The KCC administrator said the city corporation had taken adequate measures for waste management and would try to remove sacrificial waste between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm on Eid day.
He further said law enforcement agencies had strengthened security measures, while patrols on river routes had also been intensified.
Divisional Commissioner Abdullah Harun, KMP Commissioner Mohammad ZahidulHasan, RAB-6 Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Nistar Ahmed, KCC Chief Executive Officer Rajib Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner HooreJannat, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Tajul Islam and Khulna Metropolitan BNP President Adv SM ShafiqulAlam Mona, among others, were present.
The main Eid-ul-Azha congregation in Khulna Circuit House ground will be held at 7am.
The second and third congregations will be held at Khulna Town Jame Mosque at 8 am and 9 am respectively.
If weather conditions turn adverse, the first congregation will instead be held at the mosque at 7 am, followed by the second at 8 am and the third at 9 am.
Eid congregations will also be held at Model Mosque adjacent to Khulna Alia Madrasa at 7.30 am and at Noornagar Metropolitan Model Mosque at 7.15 am.
