GAZIPUR, June 1, 2026 (BSS) - Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan today said the government is working to reduce public sufferings caused by the BRT project on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.

The district council is also coordinating with relevant departments to ensure the speedy completion of the BRT project, added the DC.

He came up with the development while exchanging greetings with journalists on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha at the Bhawal Conference Room of the Gazipur District Council today.

He also expressed his commitment to take swift action where problems exist, while also developing areas of potential.

Local Government Deputy Director Ahammed Hossain Bhuiyan, Additional District Magistrate Salma Khatun, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management) Tania Tabassum, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Shahrear Nazir, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Rakibul Hassan, Assistant Commissioner Md. Arif Hossain along with other officials of the district administration, were present at the event.
