RAJSHAHI, Sept 8, 2026 (BSS) – A workshop highlighting the benefits of the government-run Hajj package was held here today.

Speakers said the government-run Hajj package is convenient for pilgrims as important services, including accommodation, food, qurbani (sacrifice), and transportation, are provided under a single package.

They said the opportunities and benefits of government management need to be presented to people more effectively to ensure transparency, accountability and reliable services.

The benefits of the Hajj package were highlighted at the workshop titled “Hajj through the Government Channel”, held at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation’s Rajshahi Divisional Office.

Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Munshi Alauddin Al Azad attended the workshop virtually as the chief guest, while Joint Secretary (Hajj) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Rafiqul Islam joined virtually as a discussant.

The workshop was conducted by the Director of the Islamic Foundation’s Rajshahi Divisional Office, AKM Mujahidul Islam.

In addition, 150 Hajis participated in the workshop.
