DHAKA, July 23, 2025 (BSS) - Rumor Scanner, a fact-checking organisation in Bangladesh, identified a fake news claiming that a student died during the protest at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
 
According to a Rumor Scanner investigation report, a news is being circulated on social media claiming that a student died during a clash between law enforcement agencies and students protesting in front of the Secretariat.
 
 
Rumor Scanner investigation found that a student named Hasirun Mahin Surya was injured during the clash in front of the Secretariat.
 
However, he himself told Rumor Scanner that he had returned home from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after receiving first aid.
 
The organization said the news of the student's death in the Secretariat incident is a complete rumor.
