Indian video on murder being circulated as Bangladesh's incident: FactWatch

DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) - FactWatch, a Bangladesh-based independent fact-checking organization, has identified a video being circulated on social media claiming as a footage of a murder in Bangladesh which is actually an incident of February 2024 at Potashpur under East Medinipur of West Bengal in India.

According to a FactWatch investigation report, a video on a man who was talking by keeping a severed human head at his hand is being shared in some posts, claiming that the murder took place in Bangladesh.
