DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) - FactWatch, a Bangladesh-based independent fact-checking organization, has identified a video being circulated on social media claiming as a footage of a murder in Bangladesh which is actually an incident of February 2024 at Potashpur under East Medinipur of West Bengal in India.

According to a FactWatch investigation report, a video on a man who was talking by keeping a severed human head at his hand is being shared in some posts, claiming that the murder took place in Bangladesh.

FactWatch's investigation shows that the incident took place in February 2024 at Potashpur under East Medinipur of West Bengal in India.
