DHAKA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - BanglaFact, a fact-checking and media research
team of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), has identified a video claiming
the footage of baton charge by Bangladesh army during clashing between two
parties at Hathazari which is actually an incident of Chattogram in 2024.

BanglaFact's investigation mentioned that the upazila administration imposed
Section 144 on Saturday to control the situation arising from the
confrontation between the two sides in Hathazari, Chattogram.

In this context, a video has been circulated on the social media claiming
that the army was baton-charging to activists of the two conflicting parties
after the imposition of Section 144 in Hathazari.

The team found that, "The video is not from Hathazari. It is not even recent.
In fact, the video is from a different incident in November 2024. It is a
video of an incident that was created around a Facebook post by a person in
Hazari Gali, Chattogram city, at that time, against ISKCON."
