DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) – FactWatch, a Bangladesh-based independent fact-checking organization, has identified a video circulating at social media claiming that Awami League (AL) is being publicly tortured across the country, which is actually a video of a circus-like village fair in India.

According to a FactWatch investigation report, a video of a person tied to a bed and having his hands and feet set on fire was recently shared on Facebook, claiming that Awami League is being publicly tortured across the country.

FactWatch's investigation team found that the video is not from Bangladesh. This video and some other videos are available on Facebook and Instagram IDs ran from India.

Reviewing the videos, it can be seen that these are videos of a circus-like village fair, they added.
