DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - BanglaFact, the fact-checking and media research team of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has identified a video circulating as the footage of people jumping from a building at Demra area in the city, which was actually an incident of Nepal.

BanglaFact investigation team found that a video is being circulated on social media platform Facebook claiming that people were jumping from a building in Demra to save their lives during a devastating fire.

The team mentioned that the fire incident video was from Nepal, not from Demra. Moreover, there has been no recent fire incident of such scale reported in Demra.
