DHAKA, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) - Fact-checking platform BanglaFact, operated by the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has identified a false video claiming that a major fire broke out at a US military aircraft in Cox's Bazar which was actually a joint exercise video between the Bangladesh Air Force and the US Pacific Air Forces.

BanglaFact investigation team found that the claimed fire incident was circulated widely on social media via a video.

This dissemination occurred during a period when the Bangladesh Air Force and the US Pacific Air Forces are engaged in a seven-day joint exercise, 'Operation Pacific Angel 25-3', currently being held in Chattogram, they added.
