LONDON, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The BBC said Monday it will study a letter received from Donald Trump, reportedly threatening legal action over the way a documentary aired edited clips of his speech just before the 2021 US Capitol assault.

"We will review the letter and respond directly in due course," a BBC spokesperson said after the broadcaster reported that the letter had been sent threatening a lawsuit.

It came as the BBC apologised for editing the speech in a way that gave the impression Trump made "a direct call for violent action" on January 6, 2021. Two top BBC leaders also quit Sunday over the issue.
