PM urges students to develop themselves into skilled, able citizens

SANGSAD BHABAN, July 8, 2026 (BSS) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman called upon the students to develop themselves into skilled, capable, and responsible citizens so that they can contribute to nation-building. 

He made the call when a group of teachers and students from various educational institutions across the country who visited Sangsad Bhaban to observe a session met him here before resumption of today’s session, said PM’s deputy press secretary Md. Suzauddhowla.

The prime minister exchanged greetings with the students and inquired about their studies.

At the same time, he urged them to place importance on physical education, as well as the practice of arts and culture.

Under an initiative of the BNP government, teachers and students from educational institutions across the country are being given the opportunity to observe JS sessions. As part of this initiative, teachers and students from various educational institutions visited the Sangsad Bhaban today.

The students toured the building's unique architectural design, visited the Parliament Library, and took commemorative photographs at various locations. They later watched the parliamentary session.

Students of Jinjira Girls' High School expressed their sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister for providing them with the opportunity to witness a live session of the JS.
