BANDARBAN, July 8, 2026 (BSS) - The Bandarban district administration has extended the closure of all tourist attractions until July 12 due to persistent heavy rainfall and the risk of weather-related disasters.

In a press release issued today, the administration said the decision was taken to protect the lives and property of tourists and local residents, following an emergency public notice issued on July 6.

The closure covers all tourist sites, waterfalls, hill trails, river routes, remote areas and other high-risk locations across the district. Tourist travel to these destinations will remain suspended throughout the period.

The district administration also urged tour operators and all concerned to take necessary precautions and comply with its directives.
