DHAKA, Jan 27, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has conducted a
surveillance campaign at Rajshahi city marking the ‘Safety Helmet Awareness Week’.

For this, BSTI asked traders of the Ranibazar, Station Road and Darikharbona areas to refrain from the
sale and distribution of low quality 'Protective Helmets for Two Wheeler Riders' without obtaining
BSTI's quality certificate or exemption certificate, said a press release.

The institution also encouraged consumers to buy BSTI's mark helmets.

BSTI Director Zahura Sikder led the campaign while BSTI officers Mohammad Shafiqul Alam, Md Sharif
Hossain and Engineer Junayed Ahmed, were present on the occasion.
