DHAKA, Jan 27, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested 12 professional muggers with country-made weapons from Jhilpar Shapla Mosque at Uttara sector-9 today.

The arrestees were identified as- Mohammad Rubel, 27, Md Musa Mridha, 22, Md Rajan, 19, Jewel, 26, Md Kashem, 41, Tutul Ali, 40, Md Sujan, 22, Md Shoun Halder, 30, Md Ripon, 25, Omar Faruque, 22, Shakil, 23 and Md Nazmul Hasan, 25.

On a tip-off, a team of Uttara Pashchim thana police raided the area and arrested the muggers, police said.

Legal action has been taken against them.
