DMP files 1,519 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, March 24, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,519 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines on March 23 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

The DMP release said that 213 motor vehicles were dumped and 86 vehicles were towed during the campaign against traffic rule breakers.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
