KHULNA, May 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Teachers' Association today demanded the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hazrat Ali and restoration of normalcy on campus.

"We are calling for the appointment of a competent vice-chancellor to bring back stability and ensure the proper functioning of the university," said Professor Dr. Md Faruk Hossain, General Secretary of the association, at a press conference held on the campus this afternoon following an emergency meeting.

He also urged the authorities to take immediate steps to resume academic activities and restore a conducive learning atmosphere.
As part of their ongoing movement, Dr. Hossain announced a human chain programme scheduled for 11:30 am tomorrow (Thursday) under the banner of the Teachers' Association.
