Over Tk 5cr to be distributed among expatriate families in Sylhet tomorrow

SYLHET, May 23, 2025 (BSS) – The Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment will distribute a total of Taka 5.15 crore among expatriate families tomorrow as part of its initiative to support such families in Sylhet division.
 
The financial assistance will be distributed among 154 people of the expatriate families across four districts in the division under the supervision of the Wage Earners Welfare Board. 

The distribution ceremony will be held at the PTI auditorium in Sylhet city tomorrow.

Senior Secretary and Bangladesh Ambassador to Mexico M Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey will attend the event as the chief guest, according to officials from the welfare board.

Sources within the Wage Earners Welfare Board said that the allocated funds will be provided to recipients in various categories. 

This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support and recognize the contributions of expatriate workers and their families, who play a crucial role in the country’s economy through sending remittances.
