SEOUL, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - South Korea's leader said hundreds of workers detained during a major US immigration raid on a Hyundai-LG battery plant site in the state of Georgia would be released and flown home Thursday afternoon.

"They are scheduled to depart the detention facility at 3 pm Seoul time (0600 GMT) today," President Lee Jae Myung said, adding that the raid targeting a high-profile investment project was "bewildering".
