DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Italy Federico Zamparelli paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan today at the latter's office of the university.
 
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest and exchanged views regarding expansion of ongoing Italian Language Programs at DU Institute of Modern Languages (IML).

 They stressed the need for undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on international relations, language and culture among Dhaka University and the leading universities of Italy. 

They emphasized on introducing a diploma course on Italian Language at DU Institute of Modern Languages.

 They also discussed about hiring Italian native language teachers as well as appointment of local teachers for teaching Italian Language courses at DU IML. 

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan thanked the Italian diplomat for his visit to and keen interest in strengthening cooperation and collaboration with Dhaka University.
