JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - Classes of the first-year students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) under the 2024-25 academic session will begin on September 21.

Deputy Registrar (Academic) Syed Mohammad Ali Reza confirmed the matter this afternoon.

"We are optimistic that a notice with class roll, registration number and allotted hall name will be issued on Friday (Sept 19)," said Ali Reza.

A total of 1,889 freshers have been admitted under the 2024-25 academic session, he added.

Earlier, on August 13, the decision to begin classes from September 21 was taken at a meeting of the central admission management committee for the 2024-25 academic session, held with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan in the chair.
