DU VC exchanges Eid greetings with teachers, students, employees

DHAKA, March 21, 2026 (BSS) – Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor ABM Obaidul Islam offered Eid prayers at the university’s central mosque at 8 am.

After offering the prayers, he exchanged Eid greetings with teachers, students, officers, employees, and people from various walks of life at the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Chairman Prof Dr Mobasser Momen, DU’s former VC Prof Niaz Ahmad Khan, Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Sayema Haque Bidisha, Treasurer Prof M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, National University VC Prof Dr ASM Amanullah, Bangladesh Open University VC Prof Dr. Mohammad Siddiquur Rahman Khan, Pro-VC Prof Dil Rowshan Zinnat Ara Naznin, Kishoreganj University VC Professor Dr. Dilip Kumar Barua, , along with senior teachers, deans of various faculties, provosts of different halls, the proctor, assistant proctors, and office heads were present on the occasion.

Later, the DU VC visited several university residential halls, including Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall, Rokeya Hall, Surja Sen Hall, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, Shamsun Nahar Hall, and Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall, where he exchanged greetings and inquired about the well-being of house tutors and students. 

He also discussed issues such as the quality of food, the academic environment, and other related matters.

After the Eid prayer, the VC visited the State Guest House Jamuna and exchanged Eid greetings with the prime minister.
