DHAKA, April 7, 2026 (BSS)- The National Sports Council (NSC) has dissolved the previous committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and formed an 11-member ad-hoc body, naming former national captain Tamim Iqbal as its president.

The ad-hoc committee has been tasked with conducting fresh elections within
90 days, Sports Director Aminul Ehsanul said.

The move follows an investigation by the NSC into the BCB elections held on
October 6 last year, which found several irregularities.

Aminul Ehsanul presented the findings at a media briefing today.

The NSC has informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) about both the
investigation report and the formation of the ad-hoc body.

The committee comprises Tamim Iqbal, Rashna Imam, Mirza Yasir Abbas, Syed
Ibrahim Ahmed, Israfil Khosru, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Athar Ali Khan, Tanvir
Chowdhury, Salman Ispahani, Rafiqul Islam Babu and Fahim Sinha.
