JU VC leaves for South Korea to attend Library ODA conference

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, April 16, 2026 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan is scheduled to leave Dhaka tonight on a four-day visit to South Korea to attend the Korea-Bangladesh Library Official Development Assistance (ODA) Working Conference to be held in Seoul.

The conference will be held from April 18 to April 21 in the South Korean capital.

According to a press release, the conference is being organized with the support of Libertree Inc., a Korea-based company specializing in AI-based bibliographic and MARC systems for libraries.

During the conference, the JU VC will discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and South Korea in the library sector, focusing on initiatives under Official Development Assistance (ODA).

The Vice-Chancellor is scheduled to return home on April 21.
