DHAKA, May 22, 2026 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, MP, today inaugurated a research center focused on geospatial information analysis, planetary science and space technology at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology (ADUST) as the chief guest.

The research center named 'ADUST Center for Geospatial Intelligence, Planetary Science and Space Systems' was formally inaugurated at a ceremony held at the university auditorium.

Moyeen Khan said such an initiative to advance the younger generation in the country's technology and space research is a highly timely and far-sighted step. Atish Dipankar University has played a pioneering role in this innovative endeavor.

"This state-of-the-art research center will open the path to solving various national crises and exploring opportunities through rapid research. This research center will make important contributions, especially in disaster-prone Bangladesh, for assessing region-specific impacts of floods or disasters and for making quick decisions by mapping data on crime-prone areas," he added.
