DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS) - One person has died of confirmed measles and two more have died of suspected measles in the last 24 hours, according to a press release sent from the control center of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.

It said 38 people have died of measles since March 15. The number of suspected measles deaths during the same period is 185.

Since March 153,805 people have been confirmed to have measles. At the same time, the number of suspected measles cases is 25,935. 

So far, 17,085 people have been admitted to hospitals with suspected measles and 14,106 have been discharged from hospitals. 

During this period, the highest number of suspected measles cases was reported in Dhaka Division, where a total of 11,496 people were infected. Of these, 2,512 people have been confirmed to have measles.
