4.5 lakh yaba tablets seized at Teknaf frontier

DHAKA, Jan 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 4.50 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets from the Teknaf border in Cox's Bazar.

Commander of Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) Lt. Col. Ashiqur Rahman said some members of the drug trafficking gang left two sacks of yaba tablets on the banks of the Naf River and fled to the other side of the border, swimming across the river.

On information, BGB personnel conducted a drive in the border areas around 1:30 am today and recovered 450,000 pieces of Yaba tablets.
