DHAKA, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) – BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today wished continued happiness, peace and prosperity of the country, the nation as well as all Muslims in the Muslim world including Bangladesh.
“A glorious night in the month of Shaban is called Shab-e-Barat. Barat means salvation or liberation, so the importance of the night of Shab-e-Barat is immense,” he said in a message on the eve of the holy Shab-e-Barat to be observed on Friday night in Bangladesh, a fortnight before the holy month of Ramadan.
Noting that the significance and dignity of this night is very high, he said on this great night, Allah the Almighty determines the fate of the best creature of His creation, the human beings.
“And that is why on this holy night, devotees seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah for their mistakes, errors and deviations in the hope of gaining closeness to Allah throughout the night. Almighty Allah pays attention to devotees on this night and forgives those who ask for forgiveness. They pray to Allah to get rid of all injustice, misdeeds and impurity, and Allah shows mercy to those who seek His mercy," he added.
He urged all to dedicate themselves to greater well being of humanity by avoiding violence, bloodshed, jealousy, and hatred.
