DHAKA, April 18, 2025 (BSS) – Police have arrested one person in connection with launching attack on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s convoy in 2015.

The arrested person was identified as Mosharraf Hossain alias Minti Mosharraf, known as the 'cashier' of ousted Awami League government's Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

He was arrested from Gulshan area on Thursday night, according to a press release signed by Deputy Police Commissioner of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

Tejgaon Police Station sources said Mosharraf is accused in multiple cases, including murder.

Besides, he is one of the accused of an alleged attack on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s convoy while she was leading an election campaign in favour of BNP’s mayoral candidate Tabith Awal during Dhaka South City Corporation election in April, 2015.
