Fakhrul inaugurates reconstruction works of Thakurgaon central mosque

THAKURGAON, April 22, 2025, (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today virtually inaugurated the construction of a new six-storey building of the district's Central Jame Mosque, also known as Kachari Jame Mosque.

While inaugurating, Mirza Fakhrul took a look back to his high school life when construction works of the mosque first began.
 
Noted figures in the district including Mirza Ruhul Amin, Mirza Sadequl Islam and Maulana Tamiz Uddin took initiatives to establish the mosque, he said.

Mirza Fakhrul thanked all those involved in the construction and reconstruction of the mosque.

"Let us unite and complete the reconstruction of the mosque," he said.
BNP's Thakurgaon district unit general secretary Mirza Faisal Amin and mosque construction committee convener Dr. Abu Md. Khairul Kabir, among others, were present on the occasion.

Following the inauguration ceremony, Imam of the mosque, Maulana Khalilur Rahman, offered prayers.

The 6-storey building at the cost of some 34 crores will be constructed within shortest possible time, said the mosque authorities.
