DMP files 1709 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, April 23, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic
Division filed a total of 1709 cases in three days across the capital for violating traffic rules.

A press release, signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman, issued here today said DMP Traffic Division filed those cases and realized fines during the last one day from March 8 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

During the drive, a total of 230 vehicles were impounded and 110 others towed.

The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
