DHAKA, April 24, 2025(BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today showed another gesture of humanity taking responsibility of treatment of an abandoned new born baby being found from a stack of garbage on the shore of Bangshi River in Savar on the city's outskirts.
An elderly woman recently traced the one-month old baby with severe heart disease inside the trash.
Being heard the miseries of the baby, Tarique Rahman with kind heart approached to help the treatment as he instructed his party men to stand by the hapless baby.
The BNP leaders, on behalf of Tarique Rahman, handed over financial assistance to the old woman for treatment of the infant.
Former Joint Secretary of Dhaka district BNP Khorshed Alam, Convener of Jatiyatabadi Shechhasebak Dal, Dhaka district unit, Nazmul Hassan Ovi, Convener of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD-North) Tamiz Uddin and Joint Secretary of Dhaka district Krishak Dal Azizul Islam, among others, were present.
