THAKURGAON, April 24, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie today said that if the 31-point reforms are implemented, no fascism will ever get a chance to establish an authoritarian regime in Bangladesh.

"If these 31 points are implemented in this country through the next elections, fascism will never be able to come again," he told a day-long training workshop held at the Joynal Abedin Auditorium of ESDO in the district as the chief guest.

BNP's Central Training Committee organised the event where leaders and activists of Thakurgaon district BNP and other affiliated organisations took part.

Through the 31-point outline for state reform, the political vision and thoughts of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman are reflected, Annie said, mentioning that these reform proposals have many similarities with the reformist ideas of the current government.

District BNP General Secretary Mirza Faisal Amin presided over the workshop.

Rasheda Begum Hira, Training Secretary of the Central BNP; Ismail Zabiullah, member of the BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council; and Iqbal Hossain Shyamal, former General Secretary of Chhatra Dal, among others, were present on the occasion.
