DHAKA, April 24, 2025 (BSS)– Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested three brothers on charges of cheating people by impersonating themselves as government officials that include judge, physician and CID officer from Bogura district. 
  
The arrestees were identified as Md. Likhon Mia (33), Md. Rana Mia (30) and Md. Suman Mia (28), sons of Md. Abdul Majid Sarkar, hailed from Kalaihata Sarkarpara under Gabatoli Thana of Bogura district. 

A squad of the CID arrested the trio from Bogura district and seized TK 2.5 lakh from their possessions, said a CID press release.  

 In the preliminary interrogation, the arrestees confessed their link to the fraudulence identifying themselves as government officer, judge, doctor and CID officers, it said. 

The CID today filed a case against the trio under sections 406/420/411/34 of the penal code with Bogra sadar police station.
