Legal notice sent to stop spreading vulgarity online

DHAKA, April 25, 2025 (BSS) - A legal notice has been sent to concerned authorities demanding an immediate halt to the spread of indecent and pornographic contents, advertisements and campaigns across online platforms including Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Likee.

Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Mohammad Humayun Kabir Pallab sent the legal notice yesterday.

Besides, the notice also called for strict punitive action against individuals allegedly involved in spreading vulgar on social media, specifically naming Dr. Jahangir Kabir, Dr. Tasnim Zara and others.

In addition, the legal notice demanded the prompt shutdown of all websites, links and digital gateways that host or promote vulgar videos, advertisements and online campaigns, emphasizing the need to protect public decency on digital platforms.
