DHAKA, April 25, 2025 (BSS) - A new political party named 'Janata Party Bangladesh' (JPB) was formally launched today with renowned actor Ilias Kanchan as its chairman.
JPB started its political journey through a launching programme at a hotel in the capital.
Former Jatiya Press Club President Shaukat Mahmood became the party's secretary general.
The party manifesto and the names of other office bearers were also published in the programme.
Golam Sarwar Milon will serve as Executive Chairman and Spokesperson on the party while Rafiqul Haque Hafiz, senior advocate Waliur Rahman Khan, Rehana Salam, advocate Md Abdullah, MA Yusuf and Nirmal Chakraborty have been made as vice-chairmen of the party.
Other party members include M Asaduzzaman as Senior Joint Secretary General and Advocate Rafiqul Haque Talukder Raja, Alamin Raju and Nazmul Ahsan as Joint Secretaries General.
