CHANDPUR, April 27, 2025 (BSS) – Chairman of   Bangladesh Press Council Justice A K M Abdul Hakim today said yellow journalism has decreased a lot than before.

“False news adapted to create chaos is yellow journalism. At one time, yellow journalism was very prevalent. Now it seems to me that yellow journalism is much less than in the past. And it happened because of the advent of electronic media,” he said.

The chairman said this while speaking at a workshop on ‘Prevention of Yellow Journalism and Objective Journalism’ was held at Chandpur Circuit House with the participation of print and electronic media journalists.

At the end of the day-long training, certificates were distributed among 40 participating journalists.

Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdur Rakib and Bangladesh Press Council Secretary Md Abdus Sabur, among others, spoke on the occasion.
