BLAST holds discussion on judicial reform in city

DHAKA, April 27, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) today organized a discussion of lawyers on 'Judicial Reform and Urgent Needs: Topic Supreme Court' at the Supreme Court Bar Association auditorium here.

Barrister Sara Hossain moderated the discussion on behalf of Blast.

Senior advocates of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Md Mosharraf Hossain and Advocate S Hasanul Banna, Secretary of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal, member of the Judicial Reform Commission Barrister Tanim Hossain, Dr. Kazi Zahed Iqbal, Barrister Rashna Imam and Member Secretary of the Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee Advocate AM Jamiul Haque Faisal participated in it.

The lawyers participating in the meeting demanded quick implementation of the recommendations submitted by the Judicial Reform Commission.

They also discussed the issues like simplifying the case process through online means, corruption-free court management, creating a disability-friendly court infrastructure, alternative dispute resolution, court-bench restructuring policies and obtaining speedy verdicts and orders.
