DHAKA, April 29, 2025 (BSS) - In the last 24 hours nationwide crackdown, 1339 more crime suspects were arrested and six firearms and ammunition were seized. 

Of these, 799 of them were apprehended in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants, while 540 individuals were detained on different criminal charges, said a press release issued by the Police Headquarters.

During the period, one each foreign made pistol and revolver, two country made LG, one shutter gun, one single barrel gun, one magazine, 24 rounds of bullet, eight cartridges and sharp weapons including knives and axes were seized from different parts of the country.  

With the latest arrest, a total of 13,140 alleged miscreants were arrested in the last 10 days since the countrywide operation started afresh.
