DHAKA, April 30, 2025 (BSS) - In response to public concern and the sentiments expressed by various quarters, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Islamic Foundation (IF) have temporarily suspended the IF's recent recruitment notice.

A press release issued by the IF today announced that a revised recruitment notice will be reissued after a thorough review.

It said that certain media outlets and social media platforms have recently spread misleading and inaccurate information about a recruitment notice from the IF, causing public confusion.

The release clarified that before issuing the notice, the IF Selection Committee had decided to prioritize candidates educated in Madrasas, particularly those holding a Dawra-e-Hadith degree from Qawmi Madrasas, which the government officially recognizes as equivalent to a Master's degree.

Since many Qawmi-educated students do not hold formal SSC, HSC, or graduate-level certificates, the recruitment notice was designed to ensure their inclusion in both higher and lower-level posts through broader consideration, the release added.

It also mentioned that this initiative is the first of its kind in the history of the IF, representing a significant step toward enabling greater participation from the Qawmi-educated community.

The IF urged the public not to be misled and to approach the matter with responsibility.
