Court seizes Bipu's land worth over Tk 200cr

DHAKA, April 30, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to seize 37.95 
decimal lands worth of Taka 200 crore belonging to former state minister for 
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the 
order, allowing a plea from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in the 
court.

According to the plea, Nasrul Hamid Bipu has acquired a huge amount of fixed 
assets in the country. If the said assets are transferred before the 
settlement of the investigation, the subsequent recovery of the said assets 
will be difficult, it added.
 
Therefore, the fixed assets in the name of Bipu need to be seized on an 
urgent basis.
