DHAKA, April 30, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed today said it would be possible to find a way out for all crises the country is currently confronting through the formation of an elected government.

“There is no one to speak for the working class. The country's economy has fallen into further crisis,” he told a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office here.

The press conference was organized ahead of Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal’s rally on the occasion of International Workers' Day tomorrow.

Rizvi said thousands of workers lost jobs due to closure of several important factories recently. If these factories had been kept open through administrators, the workers would not have had to be unemployed, he said.

Noting the number of unemployed people in the country is already increasing at an alarming rate, he  said the life of the working class is now extremely miserable.

It was informed that the rally will be held in front of the BNP central office at 2 pm tomorrow.

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will join it virtually as the chief guest.

BNP Joint Secretary General Abdus Salam Azad, Chairperson’s Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sharafat Ali Shapu and Sramik Dal President Anwar Hossain were present at the press conference.
