Press council chairman for objective journalism

FENI, April 30, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Press Council Chairman Justice AKM Abdul Hakim today called upon the journalists to practice objective journalism.

“Journalists must keep them above political identity and they cannot be pressurized for revealing their news sources,” he said.

Justice Hakim said this at a workshop on “Yellow Journalism and Objective Journalism” arranged by Bangladesh Press Council at Feni Circuit House conference hall.

Additional Magistrate Manjur Ahsan, ADC Romel Sharma and SP (DSB) Mohammad Saiful Islam attended the workshop as special guests.

Press council secretary Abdus Sabur spoke on the code of conducts compiled by Bangladesh Press Council for doing objective journalism.

Feni district information officer S M Al Amin delivered the welcoming speech.

Total 50 journalists from both print and electronic media participated in the workshop.
