Islamic Foundation holds ‘Discussion, Doa Mahfil’ on May Day

DHAKA, April 30, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Islamic Foundation today organized a ‘discussion and ‘Doa Mahfil’ on ‘The Dignity of Labor and Workers' Rights in the Eyes of Islam’ marking the historic May Day-2025.

Former Governor of the Islamic Foundation's Board of Governors Maulana Mufazzal Hussain presented key-note speech in the programme held at the auditorium of its Agargaon main office here.  

Secretary of the Islamic Foundation Hazera Khatun, Muhaddis Dr. Waliur Rahman Khan and Deputy Director A. K. M. Mujahidul Islam also spoke on the occasion.   
Md. Rezzakul Haider, Director of the Coordination Division of the Islamic Foundation, delivered the address of welcome.

The speakers stated that the rights and dignity of workers have not yet been established. They (workers) still face various forms of harassment and disregard.

They said that the rights and dignity of workers could be ensured properly if the labor policy declared by Islam based on a cordial relationship between owners and workers could be implemented fully.
