259 crime suspects held in joint forces nationwide operation

DHAKA, May 3, 2025 (BSS) – The joint forces arrested 259 crime suspects in a nationwide operation and seized 11 firearms and ammunition in seven days since April 24. 

The arrestees included murder accused, illegal arms possessors, listed criminals, kidnappers, rapists, fraudsters, smugglers, teenaged gang members, drug peddlers, drug addicts and brokers, said an ISPR press release.

The joint forces handed the detainees over to respective police stations. 

Bangladesh Army with other law enforcement agencies will continue such operations to maintain the law and order.
