35 Rohingyas held while trying to flee Bhasan Char

CHATTOGRAM, May 3, 2025 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained 35 Rohingyas from Khazurtala embankment area in the city while they were attempting to flee from Bhasan Char.

RAB senior assistant director ARM Mozzafar Hossain, media officer of the RAB-7, told journalists that the Rohingyas fled from Bhasan Char camp and landed at Khazurtala Berriband area in the city this morning.

Upon noticing the refugees, the RAB team detained them and informed local police, he said.

The police are taking further legal action against them.
