CHATTOGRAM, May 4, 2025 (BSS) - A leader of the banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was detained from Government Haji Muhammad Mohsin College this afternoon.

The detainee has been identified as Israt Jahan Kakon.

According to witnesses, students of the college apprehended Kakon on the campus and informed the police. Later, a team from Chawkbazar Police Station arrived at the scene and took her into custody.

Students alleged that Kakon was actively involved in the politics of the banned organization and she has been repeatedly trying to create chaos on the campus. 

"She is a member of the banned organization BCL. We are currently investigating to determine whether there are any cases filed against her," said Officer-in-Charge of Chawkbazar Police Station Jahidul Kabir.
