DHAKA, May 5, 2025 (BSS) - Shaheed Zia Smriti Sangsad today observed its 43rd founding anniversary by paying tribute at the mazar of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and offering special prayers.

Marking the anniversary, the organization held a discussion with senior vice president Kazi Joynal Abedin Kochi in the chair. 

BNP Central Executive Committee member Mohiuddin Ahmed Jintu attended the programme as the chief guest. Convener of the organization, Professor Anwar Hossain Mondal, addressed the programme as the special guest.

Member secretary Abdur Rahim Majhi conducted the discussion. 

Leaders and activists of Shaheed Zia Smriti Sangsad, along with BNP members from Dhaka Metropolitan Thana units, participated in the programme.

Following the discussion, special prayers were offered seeking eternal peace for Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and speedy recovery and safe return of Begum Khaleda Zia, a notification, signed by organization's president Dhali Mohammad Delwar, reads.
