DHAKA, May 5, 2025(BSS) - A court here today imposed travel ban on Scientific Officer of the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Mohammad Manzur Ahsan and his wife Mosammot Nargis Khanon.

Senior Special Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib imposed the ban on the duo following a petition submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). 

The ACC in its petition told the court that the anti-graft body has been inquiring into the allegation against Manzur Ahsan for acquiring illegal assets and properties through corruption. 

The ACC came to know that the accused persons may leave the country to avoid investigation any time that can hamper the investigation process against them, the petition added.
