Court bars former air-chief Hannan, his family to travel abroad

DHAKA, May 5, 2025 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today imposed ban on overseas travel of former Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan (retd), his wife Tahmida Begum and son Labib Hannan.

Dhaka metropolitan senior special judge Md. Zakir Hossen issued the order following a petition of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to the ACC petition, there are allegations of misuse of power, corruption, public money embezzlement and money laundering against him.

“The ACC is investigating into the allegation and came to know that Sheikh Abdul Hannan and his family members are trying to flee the country. 

The court granted the petition of the ACC and issued the order.
